Bo Arfai

Founding Lawyer

It's fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.

Experience

Bo was first called to the bar in 2008 and immediately established his own criminal defence practice. He prides himself on providing each client with a strong and zealous defence, while emphasizing patience, empathy, and open communication in the lawyer-client relationship.

In 2013, Bo left private practice to work at Justice for Children and Youth, a specialty legal aid clinic that exclusively serves clients 17 years old and younger. He represented youth in criminal matters, custody and access disputes, and school disciplinary and special education matters.

After leaving Justice for Children and Youth, Bo turned his attention back to building a busy and successful practice. He has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and a number of different tribunals.

Bo also volunteers with and is the supervisor of a community legal clinic made up of a team of volunteer lawyers who provide free legal advice and referrals to clients on a drop-in basis.

Education

After graduating high school in the suburbs of Toronto, Bo attended McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology and was twice named to the Dean’s Honour List for those of high academic standing.

Following university, Bo enrolled in law school at the University of Western Ontario. He graduated three years later with a Bachelor of Laws with a concentration in criminal law.
